From Urban Development to Microcredit and Professional Training Projects Across Italy, Bangladesh, and Europe

A strategic agreement has been signed with an important Partner from Bangladesh to develop professional, educational and cultural projects between Italy, Bangladesh, and Europe.
Easy Diplomacy is proud to announce the launch of a collaboration that strengthens bilateral relations, promoting tangible exchanges in the fields of education, labor, and cultural and economic cooperation.
The agreement operates on two complementary levels:
- Institutional: organization of official meetings and delegations between the countries, in synergy with the relevant institutions;
- Operational: implementation of technical and professional training projects, specialized recruitment services for Italy and Europe, thematic workshops, and best practice exchanges.
Key areas of intervention:
- Micro-entrepreneurship and poverty reduction programs (Microloan Program);
- Access to microcredit to promote economic inclusion;
- Governance and management of urban and local services;
- Strengthening technical and vocational education systems;
- Integration of returning migrant workers into the labor markets of Italy and Spain (helping Bangladeshi workers returning temporarly or permanently home – after working in Italy or Spain-to stay connected to those labor markets or reintegrate economically through their migration experience).
Italy confirms its role as a strategic European hub, from which projects will also involve Austria, Spain, France, and Romania, under the coordination of Easy Diplomacy.
From Institutional Dialogue to Concrete Action
The first mission, between Rome and Milan, demonstrated the effectiveness of this cooperation. Meetings with ANCI, Roma Tre University, and the Politecnico di Milano enabled discussions on urban planning, sustainable development, and urban governance – key issues for a Bangladesh experiencing fast urbanization.
With over 200 million inhabitants and significant infrastructure pressures, Bangladesh requires urban development models capable of accommodating a growing population with comfortable housing and well-planned spaces. Managing water resources, planning transportation, and organizing efficient urban centers demand advanced tools, technical expertise, and strategic vision. Italy was chosen as a reference country and inspiration due to its experiences that can be replicated in the Bangladeshi context.
Microcredit and Rural Development: The Experience with ENM
The second delegation, the PDBF (Palli Daridro Bimochon Foundation), a public Bangladeshi foundation established in 1999 by the Bangladesh Parliament and committed to rural poverty reduction, focused on microcredit and rural development.
Easy Diplomacy supported the delegation by organizing and coordinating high-level meetings, facilitating strategic encounters with FAO, FIDAF, and the Italian National Microcredit Authority (ENM), and promoting the exchange of best practices on microcredit, rural development, and international cooperation.
ENM, a public Italian agency dedicated to promoting inclusive microfinance, hosted the delegation at the highest institutional level, with Lawyer Riccardo GRAZIANO, Secretary General, and Dr. Giovanni Nicola PES, Deputy Secretary General.
During the meetings, the delegation explored the Italian microcredit model, its history, its capacity to generate socio-economic development, and its concrete impact on international cooperation programs. The experience with ENM served as a tangible example of operational diplomacy, strengthening local competencies and laying the groundwork for future micro-entrepreneurship and economic inclusion projects in Bangladesh.
Training & Work: Professional Training for European Labor Market
Within this continuous and cross-cutting collaboration, Training & Work: Ethical Manpower Business was launched, a structured professional training Project designed to meet the growing demand for qualified labor in Italy and Europe.
The main sector identified by Easy Diplomacy is tourism, an area where:
- Italy is among the leading international providers;
- the demand for qualified personnel is high and structural;
- the upcoming summer season will require a significant number of workers.
The project provides technical, linguistic, cultural, and civic education training courses, delivered in the countries of origin and/or in Italy before employment, ensuring professional quality, reliability, and real integration.
‘Training & Work’ is based on an ethical and sustainable model that:
- meets the needs of Italian companies, helping to reduce the shortage of qualified labor;
- creates value for Bangladesh by investing in skills, qualified employment, and structured career pathways for its citizens;
- can be replicated in other countries and contexts with similar labor needs.
The project leverages opportunities by the Italy-Bangladesh Memorandum of Understanding Italia – Bangladesh ‘Migration and Mobility’ signed on May 6, 2025, by Asif NAZRUL, Advisor for Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment of Bangladesh, and Matteo PIANTEDOSI, Italian Minister of the Interior.
The Migration and Mobility Agreement aims to:
- strengthen bilateral cooperation to promote regular, safe, and legal migration channels, addressing Italy’s labor needs;
- combat irregular migration and human trafficking, while promoting professional training and employment for Bangladeshi citizens.
‘Training & Work’ is designed as a flexible and scalable model, ready to expand into other strategic sectors such as construction, personal care services, and additional professional profiles. The initiative turns institutional dialogue into tangible opportunities, shared benefits, and sustainable development.
Building the Ecosystem
The goal of ‘Training & Work‘ is to create a sustainable and replicable model of certified professional training and legal employment for Bangladeshi citizens in Italy and Europe. The project is developed in collaboration with Italian training institutions, companies, and public authorities, under the strategic coordination of Easy Diplomacy.
In compliance with Italian immigration law, and through constant dialogue with institutions, the initiative aligns with current legal instruments, including the Decreto Flussi, the Decreto Cutro, and structured, regular work and training contracts.
‘Training & Work’ is not just a labor mobility project but an initiative encompassing legal, civic, and ethical dimensions. Its success requires building an integrated ecosystem of training institutions, companies, public authorities, professionals, and international partners, united by a long-term vision on education, professional qualifications, and ethical, responsible migration.
