There are several telephone operators in Italy you can choose.
Landline telephone operators
- Telecom Italia: Italy’s main telecommunications company. To activate a telephone line (and connect to the Internet) simply call the number 187 or go to the website and follow the guided procedure, giving details of the proprietor, tax code, address of the property and a phone number for contacts
- If you wish to activate a telephone line with another operator, such as Tiscali, Fastweb, Infostrada you must check whether your zone is covered by the operator you want to subscribe to.
Mobile telephony
It is possible to activate a SIM card with one of the mobile telephony operators by calling the relative help lines from a landline:
- TIM: 119
- Vodafone: 190
- Wind: 155
- Tre: 133
It is possible to choose a pay as you go scheme or a subscription. Alternatively you can go to one of the sales points and directly request activation of a new number.
