It is possible to deduct costs incurred for the purchase of medicines from one’s yearly tax return, attaching to the relative form the receipts issued by chemists. For medicines requiring a medical prescription it is necessary to keep the prescription (or a photocopy thereof), again to be attached to the form.
Documentation regarding all deducted expenses must be kept for five years.
