The Vatican Apostolic Library is the Library founded by the Holy See in the Vatican City State (Legend Map nr. 19-20). It is located in Palazzo Apostolico, and contains ancient texts and some of the world’s rarest books.

The Apostolic Library is not open to the public, but can be visited only by qualified scholars meeting specific requirements (reserchers, graduated students researching for a doctoral dissertation, exceptionally undergraduate students demonstrating they need to consult material available only at the Vatican Library), further to the issue of an electronic badge.
