Established in 1983 by Pope John Paul II, the Vatican Television Centre is a television company: in fact, it mainly deals with filming the public celebrations and ceremonies led by the Pope in the Vatican and abroad during his travels with the aim of conserving the films and distributing them to television networks upon request.
