Healthcare or medical facilities in Italy are structures equipped to provide healthcare, prevention and emergency services. They may be in the private sector, where all services are charged to the patient, or operate under agreements with the public sector, where service costs are met fully or partially by the NHS. Here it is possible to search for relative facilities, choosing according to the type of care required.
The ASLs (Local Health Units or Corporations) are local public bodies responsible for the management of healthcare services. They are organised into local healthcare districts, prevention departments and hospital centres, where healthcare services included under the NHS are provided.
The Hospital corporations (or simply Hospitals) are structures where specialist services are provided. It is possible to search for telephone numbers of ASLs and Hospital corporations in order to book specialist examinations and other services.
