The Vatican Printing House was founded in 1587 by Sixtus V. It is responsible for printing all the documents of the Holy See and the Vatican City State (bibles, liturgies, periodic works such as the Pontifical Yearbook, the Osservatore Romano, cards and posters for Vatican Museums) and also undertakes works for religious institutions.
