The Vatican Pharmacy is open to all. It is well equipped and much frequented because the same products cost less here than in Italy and also because it is possible to obtain new medicinal products that have come on to the international market more quickly. However, products that are against Catholic teachings, such as contraception, are not sold.
To enter the pharmacy, you must present a medical prescription of the medicinal product you wish to purchase at the entrance.

summer opening times: from 1 July to 31 August: 8:30am to 3:00pm; Saturday 8:30am – 1:00pm
