The Vatican Museums (and Sistine Chapel) are open from Monday to Saturday, from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm (last entry at 4:30 pm). Entrance on Viale Vaticano (Legend map nr.34)
N.B. Every Friday from 6 May to 15 July the Vatican Museums can also be visited from 19:00 to 23:00 (final entry at 21:30)

Full 17 €; Reduced 8 €; Schools 4 € (tickets cannot be refunded, and are for visiting the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel).
Last Sunday in month: entrance free (9:00-14:00, last entry at 12:30)
Where to buy tickets
The ticket office and entrance to the Museums are in Viale Vaticano.
To avoid the queue we suggest buying online from the website’s ticket office up to 10 tickets in the 60 days prior to the date of the visit.
Costs: € 15 (or € 8 reduced) + € 4 per ticket for pre-sale.
Needed documents: ID document, credit card, names of all participants
It is possible to modify the date of reservation up to one hour prior to the visit, if there is sufficient availability, but it is not possible to modify the number of participants.
For Diplomatic Representations and VIP guests visiting the museums
Access is usually authorised by the State Secretariat from the “Quattro Cancelli” courtyard so as to avoid the queues (Legend Map nr. 28);
To organise visits on days and times not usually open to the general public please contact the Special Visits Office, which will decide on a case by case basis. These visits are against payment.
