The Apostolic Constitution Pastor Bonus by Pope John Paul II of 28 June 1988, under Article 43 establishes that the Press Office of the Holy See is “the special office” which depends on the Secretariat of State (Section One). It is through this office that the “official communications regarding the activities of both the Supreme Pontiff and the Holy See” are published and divulged.
The Press Office publishes the “Bulletin” daily in one or more editions and in Italian. However, the texts are provided in their original language and a relative translation is available.
